Safety considerations for Camper Vans, Motorhomes and Caravans
Vehicle Spacing
Wait to be parked. Leave adequate space between units to reduce fire spread, as directed by the parking volunteers.
Caravans must be parked, then decoupled and the car parked in the car park.
Fire Safety
No open fires unless specifically permitted and supervised.
No barbecue/fire pits.
No awnings permitted.
Attendees to have a working smoke alarm and, ideally, a small fire extinguisher or fire blanket.
Keep access routes clear for emergency vehicles.
LPG (Gas) Safety
No LPG gas appliances to be used on site for any reason, including refrigeration. All food and beverages will be provided.
All LPG gas to be turned off at source for the duration of the event.
Fitted Gas cylinders should be secured upright and in good condition.
Anyone smelling gas should report it immediately.
Electrical Safety
No electrical hookups will be provided.
The use of external extension leads is not permitted.
Traffic Management
Speed limit on site 5mph.
Ensure emergency access is maintained at all times.
Waste Management
There will no provision for Grey-water disposal, or Toilet waste disposal.
Please take all waste and rubbish home with you.
Drinking water will be provided at drinking water points.
