Terms and Conditions of Attendance (The Sensible Bit)

Legal Disclaimer
Nash Hash UK 2027 is a voluntary, not-for-profit business that is organising a non-competitive running, walking, and social event across varied terrain, including roads, fields, forests, rivers, and urban areas. Participation may involve risks such as slips, falls, collisions, dehydration, alcohol-related incidents, animal encounters, and other unforeseen hazards that may result in injury, illness, property damage, or death.
By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow all guidelines and rules established by Nash Hash UK 27.
This event is organized on a non-profit basis. All participation fees are collected exclusively for the purpose of covering the direct and indirect costs associated with the organization and implementation of the event.
The organizing body does not generate any profit from these activities, and any funds received are used strictly for cost recovery.
Liability
Hashers attend entirely at their own risk. Whether you’re camping, campervanning, sleeping in the accommodation, hashing, dancing, or propping up the Hash bar, you are responsible for yourself and your belongings.
The organisers and venue accept no liability for loss, damage, injury, illness, missing tents, wandering campervans, or anything else that might happen over the weekend, except where liability cannot be excluded under UK law.
If you break it, lose it, burn it, flood it, or fall over it, it’s probably your responsibility.
You are joining at your own risk, within your personal limits, and accept full responsibility for your actions.
Voluntary Participation
Participation in Nash Hash UK 2027 is entirely voluntary. You understand that hashing involves physical activity and inherent risks, including: injury, illness, property damage, or death.
Alcohol may be served. You agree to drink responsibly, follow safety advice, and accept full responsibility for arranging safe transportation and will not operate a vehicle under the influence.
Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
Duty of Care and Conduct
Please remember this is a school site, so behave (reasonably), respect the facilities, and don’t leave the place looking like the aftermath of a particularly enthusiastic circle.
Illegal drugs, harassment, abuse, or unsafe behaviour is NOT permitted.
GDPR & Media Consent
You consent to the collection and use of your personal data (name, hash name, contact details) for event administration, in line with GDPR. Photos and videos taken during Nash Hash UK 27 may be used for event promotion unless you opt out in writing. The organizers cannot control images shared by other participants.
By attending, you agree to abide by the rules outlined above and promise to look after yourselves, your fellow hashers, and the venue.
No Refunds & Transfers
All registrations are non-refundable. Transfers are permitted only by completing the transfer form and paying a £25 fee, which will be donated to the nominated charity. Full details of both the current and new participant must be submitted, and prior approval is required. By accepting a transferred registration, the new participant automatically agrees to this disclaimer and all event policies. No registration transfers will be permitted before 1st Feb 2027, or after 23rd Aug 2027.
Overseas attendees paying via a non UK bank will be liable for the additional bank charge which is approximately £10
Safeguarding and wellbeing statement
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. All attendees are expected to behave in a way that respects the wellbeing, dignity, and personal boundaries of others.
The organising committee recognises its responsibility to take reasonable steps to safeguard the welfare of all attendees. Where we become aware of sensitive personal circumstances, prior conflicts or wider external situations that may affect individuals or groups, we may take reasonable steps to support the safety and comfort of those involved. This may include refusing registration or requiring an individual to leave the event Attendees are required to comply with reasonable requests made by mismanagement to support a safe environment.
All matters will be handled with discretion and, where possible, in confidence.
Health and safety
Please act responsibly to prevent fire onsite and whilst on trails. If you witness a fire please raise the alarm. If you hear the fire alarm whilst on site please follow signage to the nearest exit and muster points. Please follow any directions given by mismanagement or Blundell’s school staff.
There is a Zebra crossing on site that should be used. Be part of the Tufty Club and use the green cross code.
You consent to receive emergency medical treatment if it is sought on your behalf, and accept full financial responsibility for any related costs. You acknowledge that the mismanagement are under no obligation to provide or arrange medical care, assistance, or transportation.
In the case of any incident or emergency please report to mismanagement or identified helpers. Follow the directions of mismanagement or Blundell’s school staff
First aid kits will be provided to hares on all trails. If first aid is required while on site at Blundells please contact a member of mismanagement
Please do not to bring glass bottles onto site. Please bring cans if you need to.
